Big Bend

Harmony In Nature

It is a common love among people in the world to connect with nature because it reminds us of who we are as a species and can help us reconnect with ourselves as well as the world around us. I wanted to focus on the wanderlust that people pursue by seeking out national parks to reconnect with nature. That’s when I found myself at Big Bend National Park. The park was first established on June 12th, 1944, and is considered the most biodiverse desert in North America. Big Bend sees an average of 300,000 visitors each year and is beloved for many reasons; whether it be the multitude of unique species of animals, the magnificent scale of the surrounding mountains, or the diversity of the desert trails. My goal for this photo essay was to capture the beauty of Big Bend as well as the harmony between the park and the people who come to connect with it.
